SHEEPSHEAD BAY STAKES OPEN. To close for entries at midnight of Friday, November 15, the Coney Island Jockey Club offers a great list of rich stakes to be run in 100S, 1909 and 1910. They embrace some of the most famous and valuable fixed events of the American turf, and are as follows: To lie run In 190S Foam Stakes, two-year-olds, ,500 added, 5-S mile. Surf Stakes, two-year-olds, ,000 added; 5 1-2 furlongs. Annual Champion Stakes, three-year-olds and over, 5,000 guaranteed, 2 1-1 miles. To be run In 1009 Tidal Stakes, three-year-olds, 0,000 guaranteed; 1 1-4 miles. Mermaid Stakes, three-year-olds fillies, ,000 added; 1 1-S miles. I-nwrenco Realization, three-year-olds, 0,000 added; 1 5-8 miles. Great Filly Stakes, two-year-olds, ,000 added; "3-4 mile. . Of the foregoing stakes all but the Annual Champion and Great Filly Stakes are to be ruu at the June meetings of their respective years, the latter two being Autumn meeting fixtures.
