STAKE RACING IN THE EAST. The last week of racing over the metropolitan - tracks is at hand. The Aqueduct meeting will come to an end next Friday, and until the begin- r ning of the spring meeting at the same track next April, New Yorkers will have to journey to I view their favorite sport. For tomorrow the Stony- j brook Stakes, under selling conditions, at a mile I and a sixteenth, will be the feature, the names of the probable starters being published today. The I Roslyn Handicap will be run Tuesday. It is a j mile dash, with such speedy ones as Gold Lady, C Sewell, Blue Book, Kentucky Beau, Tourenne, Tileing, Cabochon, Zambesi, McCarter, Don Enrique, Oraculum, Purslane, Baby Wolf and Monfort among i its eligibles. Wednesdays stake feature Is the Beldame Handicap for two-year-old fillies at live furlongs. Among others engaged it has In Half l Sovereign, Fond Heart, Whip Top, Reenc W., Aimce C, Miss Delaney, Berry Maid, Lady Winifred, Ex- plosion. Fancy, Red Bonnet, Frizette, Chulita, , Woodlane, Marian Louise. Aunt Rose and others that have run well. The Woodside Steeplechase will be run Thursday afternoon. It is a selling race, and Bat, Maxi- milian, Paprika, Arian, Knight of Elway, Grandpa, - Garrett, Guardian II., Bannell, Jimmy Lane and -Ben Shaw are among its entries. The last stake of the meeting, the Nassau Handicap, for all ages, 1 at a mile, will be run off Friday afternoon. It has Nealon, Brookdale Nymph, McCarter, Gretna Green, Cabochon, Bedouin, Far West, Faust, Ath- 1 lete, W. II. Daniel, Sewell, Blue Book, Pretension, Kentucky Beau, Dreamer, Rye, Ben Ban, Tourenne, Cressina, Running Account, Martin Doyle and Mon- J fort among its entries and an excellent race is in prospect. The meeting of the Washington Jockey Club J opens Saturday, and will continue to and include Saturday, November 30. The Columbia Handicap, at seven furlongs, and the Bladensburg Steeplechase , will be the stake features of the opening day. Lane Allen, Gretna Green, Don Creole, Dolly Spanker, Monfort, Oraculum, Oxford. Hooray, Okenite and , Comedienne appear best in the Columbia, and Thistledale, Kara, Knight of Elway, Goldflcur, Es- sex II., BersI and Jimmy Lane in the Bladensburg. j
