Apache x-an into a long lead soon after the start and, running freely all the way, held the others safe throughout. Arrow Swift ran a good race and was prominent most of the way, finishing gamely through the last furlong, but was not good enough to beat the winner. Bitter Man, after gaining steadily, finished fast and wore down C. II. Shilling for third place. C. H. Shilling was a close contender in the aily stages, but tired in the last furlong. St. Hario showed sudden improvement and closed a big gap from a slow beginning. Orlandot ran badly. Bojl went well. Padrone ran fairly well. Tackle, away poorly, had scailt chance and ran far below expectations. Brimmer was oil badly and never a contender. The winner was entered for 1907.sh00; no hid. Lens outclassed the others, dashed into the lead when called on and won with much in reserve. Asteroid closed up ground early aud stood a hard drive through the stretch, but bore over on Fay and had her in close quarters all through the last furlong, which enabled him to take second place. Fay ran well and. with clear sailing, would have been second. Do Oro, away fast, showed early speed, but tired fast after going a half. Artful Dodger failed to show much early speed and lost ground by going wide into the stretch. Animus finished fairly well. Bitter Miss had no mishaps.
