SARATOGA FIXTURES TO BE REOPENED. New York, July 21. Following the lead of the Coney Island Jockey Club, the Saratoga Association will reopen for yearlings on August 10 four of the old-time specials at the Springs. The races to be reopened are the Grand Union and the United States Hotel for two-year-old colts and fillies, the Spinaway for two-year-old fillies, and the Travers for three-year-olds, the Grand Union and United States at ,000 each and the others at ,000 each. The two-year-old races will be run next season and the three-year-old race in 1911. Nothing was doue with respect to the Alabama, Saratogas principal event for three-year-old fillies, the inference being that that race may be dropped for a spell. Tho executive committee will ;not decide as to the Hopeful until some time in October, but it is safe to predict that it, too, will be renewod in November. The Grand Union and United States will be three-quarter mile races as formerly, the Spinaway a five and a half furlong dash, and the Travers at a mile and an eighth. The Grand Union and United States are increased ,500 each over their values this season, but the Travers and the Spinaway are cut a bit. The former is this year a guaranteed race of ,500 and the latter one of 0,000.
