Bonnie Kate, showing good form for a new beginner, set a speedy pace from the start and, fencing in good style, came away when Bergoo stumbled and lost his rider at the twelfth jump and won in a canter. Lizzie Flat tired after going the first round of the course, but came again when Class Leader tired in the stretch. The latter made a good effort after going over the tenth jump, but tired in the stretch. Glpsano ran poorly. Bergoo was rushed at the twelfth jump, causing him to stumble and unseat his rider. Cooney K. showed the most speed for the first half, but bore out badly in the stretch and was tiring near the end. Lady Orlmar ran a good race for five furlongs. Wausau had no mishaps. Green Seal showed the most speed for three-quarters, but tired in the last furlong. Meadow was cut off frequently and forced to go wide in the, stretch. Grauia quit badly after going three-quarters. Crystal Maid was in tight quarters for the first half and came fast when clear. St. Jeanne finished fast. Wool Sandals showed speed, but tired in the last furlong. Siskin., showing surprising improvement, closed a big gap, although going wide in the last half, and was going fast at the end. Fair Annie ran fairly well. Tom Hayward quit badly in the last quarter.
