UNFRIENDLY TO OUTLAW MEN. Montreal, Que., July 2S. Influential newspapers of this city have adopted an unfriendly attitude toward the outlaw race meeting which is scheduled to open at Delorimier Park in this city next Saturday. It is reiiorted that the position of presiding judge has been tendered to John Roden. formerly racing secretary at various eastern tracks. Other officials include James Milton, starter: W. W. Lyles, paddock and patrol judge, and George C. Dillon, racing secretary and hamlicapper. The Montreal Driving Club, under which name Delorimier Park is operated, deny that A. M. Orpen. who financed tlie Dufferin 1ark meeting. lias any connection with the Delorimier Park venture.
