CUNARD COMING EAST AT ONCE. New York, July 2S. George W. Langdon will go to California this week to arrange for tlie shipment to E. R. Bradleys Idle Hour Stud iu Kentucky of Cunard, St. Avonicus and the broodmares, yearlings and sucklings belonging to the estate of the late Caesar Young, whose widow he married last spring. Mrs. Langdon recently sold a half-interest in the stud left by her first husband to Mr. Bradley, who is coming to the front as a breeder. Mr. Bradley has a fine band of mares at Idle Hour Farm in Kentucky, which he has mated witli good stallions. lie has some yearlings this season bv Adam and Rock Sand that cost him ,000 and ,500. Ho believes that Cunard will fit in nicely with his mares. Cunard made a good record in California as a sire despite limited opportunities. He is a son of Goldfinch and Lucania. was bred at Rancbo del Paso and was raced bv Green B. Morris in 1901 and 1902. He won tlie National Stallion Stakes of 1901 at Morris Park and made a line showing as a three-year-old. Goldfinch, his sire, was one of the best bred Ormonde horses that ever came to this country and Lucania was a daughter of the New Zealand stallion. Sir Modred, out of School-Girl, by Pat Malloy. School-Girls dam was Gleniuine, by Glenelg. Dur ing the brief time that he has lieen standing in California Cunard has got nothing but winners. He-stamps his get with the impress of his own individuality and they can run both fast and far.
