I COLONEL JIM DOUGLAS- IN TRAINING. Lexington, Ky.. August 20. Colonel Jim Douglas, the seven-year-old son of Henry Young and Rainy Day. by Troubadour, after having bowed the tendon in his right foreleg in Ills last race, at Louisville .May 21, 190S. is again in training. He was sent up from Louisville by his owner, Alf V. Oldham, to John Rodegap about ten days ago and-is now at the Kentucky Association course. Rodegap says .the ,ohl fellow does not appear to be bothered by the Injured leg. but he has not worked him sufficiently as yet to ascertain whether or not lie will do to gO. to the races again. . Along witli the horse Mr. Oldham sent a? letter Sul-vising Mr. Rodegap. in the event of failnre to stand training, of his willingness to turn Colonel Jim Donglas over to some responsible breeder, who would like to have him as a stallion, free of cost..
