INCREASING INTEREST IN MEXICO. Saratoga. N. Y.. August 20. James B. Bedwell has written from the City of Mexico to his brother. II. G. Bedwell. th.it the people of the republic to the south of the Rio Grande are enthusiastic for racing. He predicts that the opening at Jaurez on Thanksgiving Day will be a brilliantly successful affair, and advises his brother to ship his string to El Paso as soon as the Belmont Park meeting is over. J. IB. Bedwell tells his brother that it will be easy to sell a bunch of good horses at Juarez and clean up for a new lot. The high officials and rich folk of Mexico are beginning to take a keen interest in the thoroughbred, he avers, and they want goodl stock for breeding purposes. H. G. Bedwell will not decide where he will race next winter until an authoritative announcement is made concerning racing in California. Bedwell prefers to race on the coast, and will ship to Oakland If a meeting is given there.
