Jack Straw suffered from interference soon after the start and was shuffled back near the half and failed to recover much ground in the stretch. Lumen rati fairly well. Alice George ran a good race despite being in close quarters for most of the way. Sensible closed a big gap and saved much ground all the way. Boema showed speed, but quit badly after going three-quarters. Anne McGee, under incompetent riding, was practically left, closed a big gap and was probably lest. .Many Colors ran fairly well. There was mucli crowding in the race. The winner was entered for 5400; no bid. Scratched 84072 Kenmare Queen, 92. Gol-conda, showing steady improvement, was restrained for the lirst three-quarters and moved around the others with a rush on the stretch turn, but swerved under punishment in the last sixteenth and just lasted long enough. Flora Riley had to be hard ridden for the first three-quarters, saved ground when coming into the stretch and, finishing gamely, would have won in a few strides. Iesjerado ran a good race and outstayed Tremargo in the final strides. The latter set the early pace, was much used in racing Beau Bruinmel into defeat and tired near the end. Beau Brummel tired. Lillie Turner was prominent for three-quarters. The winner was entered for 700; no bid. Scratched S4005 Ceremonius, 97. Overweights Desperado. 1 pound.
