HILDRETHS HIGH OPINION OF UNCLE. Saratoga, X. Y.. August 20. S. C. Ilildreths Vncle struck himself recently while at play. The injnry caused a swelling and tilling on the right hind leg. This has since disappeared. and the horse, which weighs about 1,150 pounds, -will soon lie again at work. "Uncle is without doubt the fastest horse I ever trained." said Mr. Hildreth. "Two weeks ago I sent him out to work a half mile in ."0. He did not seem to be running fast, but he covered the distance in -17. with a big exercise hoy pulling and hauling him all over the track. I have worked on him two years and dont know now when he can be sent to I In; races. There is an irresistible fascination in training a phenomenal horse like Uncle. If I ever get him right you will see the sprinter of the ccniury." Mr. Hildreth concluded his talk on Uncle by saying that his entire stable is in first-class shape.
