Ostend and Levengston were in California last winter under the charge of Peter Wimnier. John Madden owned them and. acting pn Ills order. Wimnier sold them to Walter House. Houses backer paid ,500 for Levengston. a maiden of apparently little account, and 00 for Ostend. He did not want to take Ostend at any price.
