COLSTON ENTHUSIASTIC OVER WALDO. New York. September 7. Raleigh Colston, trainer of Waldo, maintains that the winner of the Flat-bush is one of the speediest colts he has ever seen. "People think," said Colston, "that he is a slow beginner. That is a mistake. He is slow If his rider is slow, but. if the rider is alert and active, he is responsire. He doesnt seem to have a nerve in him. Just what you make him do is what he does. and. at that, there is no need to whip him. I dont think any horse that ever wore hair can outrun him. There is not a horse in my stable that can work with him. He can show you three-eighths in 34. any time you want him to. In my opinion lie should never have been beaten in any race in which he started."
