FRENCH YEARLINGS IN HEALTHY MARKET. The yearling sales in France during the Doanville meeting in August were better than the average, as the totals and averages below will show: Ycnr Sold. Total. Jean Prat, who also ,r IK0 gave 0.4011 for Nicolas, a colt by Rabelais, and S.I.SOO for Rob Hoy. by Hebron. The produce of i Rabelais sold remarkably well, ills six yearlings fetching S2G.3O0. Nine yearlings by the deceased i1" Bay Ronald sold for t,420. which gives a smaller average than one might have anticipated after the reputation this horse has established at the stud. After M. Prat, the principal buyers were M. a! A. Vell-Pieard. who secured nine lots for ,270. Prlnw Murat six for U,NU. Baron E. de Rothschild lid six for S1K.4;0, M.
