PLAUDIT EXHIBITED AT SHEEPSHEAD BAY. New York, September 10. John Maddens Him-yar stallion. Plaudit, half-brother to Hastings and sire of Kiug James, was shown in the paddock at Sheepshead Bay Wednesday afternoon to an admiring crowd of horsemen and racing folk. Plaudit was under the charge of William H. Snyder, the manager of Hamburg Place, and be made a tine ap-earance. His mottled brown coat was ricli and sappy and his eye was bright and clear. He did not look like a horse that bad just accomplished a four-weeks ocean voyage. Plaudit is a tine type of the thoroughbred. He is particularly handsome in front. His tine neck rises from a pair of magnificent shoulders and supports a head of singular beauty. The son of Himyar and Cinderella is more impressive as a stock horse than he over was as a racer. Plaudits eyes caused the veteran Green Morris to remark: Those are the most beautiful eyes Ive ever seen in a horses head." Then Morris was reminded that thirty years ago lie said of Ilimyar, sire of Plaudit and Domino: "There are not horses enough in the world to beat that horse of Major Thomas when he is right." Morris replied: "Yes, I said it. and it was so." Plaudit is in good enough condition to begin his trip to Kentucky immediately, but he will not start west for a few days. Mr. Snyder wants to rest tbe horse thoroughly before putting him on the cars. lie is very sweet on Plaudit and likes the son of Himyar better than any horse at Hamburg Place.
