Pnlka forced and set a fast pace from the start and disposed of Judge Lassing in the iiist three furlongs, but tired slightly near the end. Judge Lassing showed speed, but quit after going a half. .Merman had a rough trip anil was forced to 1m? taken back in the first three furlongs, then closed a big gap in the stretch. Autumn Girl was in close quarters in the stretch. Brunhilde tired in the lust furlong. The Ijidr of Mercia, much the best, propped at the start and was practically left, but moved into the lead with a rush after going three furlongs and won cased up. Okis had no mishaps and was prominent for the entire trip. Victoria came fast in the stretch and wore the tiring Zetha down in the last sixteenth. Orphan Belle was distanced after going a quarter. Lawrence I Dalev was tiring fast after going five furlongs, but outgamed Jack Parker in tlie final drive. Jack Parker fan well and will improve. Lady Irma was speedy, but quit in the stretch.
