Bird of Flight II. ran forwardly and persistently throughout under inadequate riding. King Sol, well up from the start, outstayed the others for third place in the closing drive. Monocle, flatfooted at the start, trailed far in tlie rear early and closed a big gapirt the last half. Comedienne, away poorly, raced into the lead in the first quarter and tired badly in the last furlong. Lally held on persistently all the way. Miss Catesby was out of place here. Shannon, away badly and crowded to tlie rear by the winner, closed an immense gap in the last half. The Fad was decisively outpaced from the start. Western Lady ran prominently for half of the journey and retired and is a good looker.
