OIL MAN IMPRESSES HIS BREEDER SAHATOGA SPHINGS, N. Y.. Aug. 10. liecause of the excellent showing made by Oil Man, AV. H. Howes two-year-old son of North Star III. P.audello, B. H. Hradley, who bred this colt, announced that in the future none of the progeny of this imported stallion will leave his stable until after they have been thoroughly tried. Oil Man is the only offspring of North Star III. outside of the Hradley establishment racing at the present time, but AV. H. Howe has another that is on the ailing list and will be; out t,f contention for a long while. None of the others was disposed of. Since coming here Oil Man has demonstrated that he is a colt above the ordinary, as his first effort found him winning at five-eighths in :59, and he came back and finished third in the United States Hotel Stakes to Morvieh and Kai-Sang. North Star III. also sired Het Mosie. which was one of the leading two-year-olds in Kentucky, and of which much is expected here. His first start at the local track found him devoid of all chance to win, as he had all of the bad luck possible, and the distance of five-eighths was too short for him.
