GLADIATOR TAMPERED WITH JAMAICA, N. T., October 10. There was another case of tampering with a horse over night at Jamaica Sunday night when J. L. Holands Gladiator was dosed in some manner that made him a raving maniac when ho was found Monday morning. First aid was administered and Dr. McCulley was called in when the horse was finally quieted. Trainer Shields said that the horse had been the victim of doping, but he had no suspicion of the guilty party. Gladiator was to have started in the third race, but his condition made his scratching necessary.
