. , j BIG STAKE TO SOUBRIQUET Duke of York Handicap at Kemp-ton Park, England, Results in Victory for Hulton Family. LONDON, England, October 9. Sir E. Hul-tons Soubriquet, chestnut daughter of Lem-berg and Silver Fowl, a three-year-old, scored an easy victory in the Duke of Tork Stakes at Kempton Park Saturday afternoon. A length and a half behind her came Major H. Cayzers Poisoned Arrow, to take second place by a length from Somerville Tattersalls Tetrabbazia, the top weight of the company. Twelve horses started in the race, which is a 0,000 stake at a mile and a quarter, for three-year-olds and over. Sicyon, Sol Joels three-year-old, was made the favorite at 5 to 2, but he failed to stay. Soubriquets connections were extremely confident and their attitude was vindicated in the running. Elliott placed the fdly well all the way, taking the lead in the run through the straightaway and coming to the finish for an easy victory by a length and a half. Poisoned Arrow, which had been out of training for some time with illness, needed a race to put him on edge. Ho made up considerable ground near the finish and beat Tetrabbazia by a length for second place. The weather was clear and cool. The good condition of the track is shown by the time for the mile and a quarter 2:02and. Soubriquet was at 5 to 1 in the wagering, while Poisoned Arrow was quoted at 100 to 9, and Tetrabbazia at 100 to 30. A summary of the race follows: Sir E.
