Won driving; second and third the same. SANCHO PANSY, after racing in closest pursuit, passed CONFEDERACY and held CRUGIE safe in the final drive. The latter worked his way up through the middle of the field and made a fast finish. CONFEDERACY showed the most early speed, but tierd in the stretch drive. GOLD MOUNT closed a big gap. Won driving; second and third the came. BARONET led under slight restraint until in the last turn of the field, then withstood a challenge from AMSTELLO and outfinished PAGER-ROOK in the final drive. The latter jumped well and finished fast and gamely. AMSTELLO is a good jumper and appeared likely to win, but tired in the last quarter. BIGHEART set a fast early pace, but tired when challenged. DEXTEROUS ran well, but was driving to the limit at the end to outstay PLAYFELLOW. The latter began slowly, but closed a big gap and was worked out an extra quarter after the race. PEN ROSE ran poorly and as if out of form. COMIC SOXG showed the most early speed and set a fast pace, but conld not withstand the winners rush. POLLY AXX raced gamely, but tired in the last quarter. BLUFFER and ALL OVER were outpaced.
