1 1 1 1 ; - 1 5 LORD DERBYS ONE THOUSAND LONDON, England, May 4.— Lord Derbys Tranquil, a bay daughter of Swynford and Serenissima. won the second of the five Fnglish classics when she won the One Thousand Guineas at Newmarket today. The j Aga Khans Cos was second and Sir Edward Hultons Shrove third. Tranquil was ridden by Gardiner and came to the finish a length ! . and a half in front of Cos, while the latter took second place by a length from Shrove. Solicitude was fourth and Silver Grass fifth. Following is a summary: lord Derbys Tranquil.
