CLEVELAND, OHIO, May 4.— With all in-. dications pointing to a most successful period of racing, the spring meeting of the Ohio State Jockey Club will open at Maple Heights Park tomorrow. The outlook is most favorable from a weather standpoint. The track proper has been greatly improved since last fall. The turns have been broadened out and thrown up and the track is at its best. Notwithstanding that additional stables wera erected this spring, the accomodations are taxed to capacity. A large delegation arrived today from Columbus, including the stables of J. A. Parson, W. D. Bernhardt. Missouri Stable, G. W. Fritz, A. S. Eastman, V. 10. Martin and C. W. Hall. Clyde Freeman with ten head and "Kim " Patterson with five came In from Havre de Grace. Jockey 11. Farland accompanied this shipment. Other recent arrivals from Huntington and Akron are L. T. Whithill, E. E. Major, K. F. Knebelkamp, 11. B. Holmes and If. Sanders. The officials for the meeting will be Joseph A. Murphy, presiding steward ; F. V. Ger- hardy, presiding judge : John T. Ireland, as- sociate judge; Marshall Cassidy, starter and W. R Norval, racing secretary. There tire thirty riders on the scene ready to accept mounts, including E. T. Moore, Bol-1 ton. Parrington. Bell, Mountain, Dunkinson, Horn, Pickens, Stirling, Garrett, Allen, Chia-t vetti, Holloway, Byrne, Pickens, Wyatt and I VVolters.
