CUBAN SPECIAL NEXT WEEK LAUREL. Md.. Oct 25. James Milton is busy these mornings allotting space in the first Cuban Special, which is scheduled to leave here for Oriental Park some day next weelc Several eastern owners, who have never before raced their horses at a winter meeting, have signified their intention of shipping to Cuba for the winter meeting. E. F. Whitney is thinking of sending down a dozen horses, which will include such good racers as Mainmast, Heeltaps, Pawnbroker, Suppliant and Trafalgar. Jockey Joe Rowan will ride in Cuba as a free lance. Smallwood will also go to Cuba and may ride for the E. F. Whitney stable. Frank Bray arrived from New York with Sunsini and Guelph. He has arranged- to ship a division of the stable to Cuba at the conclusion of the Empire meeting.
