PIMLIC0 TURF NOTES I BALTIMORE, Md., May 5. The Glen Riddle Farm Stable has signed jockey Albert Johnson to ride for it. Johnson has been in particularly good form this spring. The lad is now taking the job seriously, something he never did before. He is paying strict attention to business and if he continues on these lines it is no idle prediction to say that he will be one of the leading riders in the country by next fall. Jockey H. Thomas stopped off en route from New York to Louisville, where he goes to report to the T. J. Pendergast stable. Mr. and Mrs. Sloane of Long Island, who raced the good steeplechaser Sky Scraper II. last year, have added materially to their stable by the purchase of the two good jumpers Bullseye and the imported horse Dan IV. Th? latter, besides being a top-notch jumper, is a grand individual and well bred. When his racing days are over he should be a valuable addition to the breeding ranks. A. G. Robinson has sent the mare Kitty French to the court of Bunga Buck. The latter is standing at the J. M. Stackwell farm near Havre de Grace. Kiity French, from Country Fraud, is a naif-sister to Starling. Harry Payne Whitneys Preakness candidate. Backbone, was an arrival from Jamaica this morning. Besides sending Backbone to the post for this rich stake, Rowe will also saddle Chantey for the Green-tree Stable.
