JOCKEY C. RUMMERS LUCRATIVE RETAINERS NBW YORK, N. Y., May 5.— Second call on jockey Clarence Kummer was obtained by Cifford A. Cochran today, first call being held by the Log Cabin Stud Stable of W. Averill Harriman. It was announced that Kummer will ride Coventry for the former sportsman in both the Preakness and Kentucky Derby. Kummer was engaged to pilot J. E. Griffiths Single Foot in the two rich stakes. Instead Albert Johnson will have the mount on the Marylauid-bred colt. It is said on good authority that Hummers retainer with the Cochran stable is 5,000, while Mr. Harriman holds first call for 2,000.
