IRISH JIG raced under stout restraint until in the last half mile when he began closing up and finished in resolute fashion. FRICKLE was a forward contender for the entire race, but was tiring at the end. ROSY JESTER was much used in making the pace and tired, bnt is speedy and a good jumper. SILVER FINN began quickly and, setting a fast pace, made a game finish. DISPLAY was forced wide while rounding the tnrn out of the back stretch acd ran a good race. CHARLCIE ran poorly. Won driving; second and third the same. RUSTIC raced close up from the start and, taking the lead on the last turn, withstood a challenge from JOY SMOKE and was going away in the last sixteonth. JOY SMOKE had a rough race for the first half mile and made a pime challenge at the eighth post, where he seemed to have the winner beaten, but tired in the last hundred yards. SWOPE set a fast early pace, but tired after going three-quarteis in the lead. TEN MINlTES ran fairly well. THE DAT began in a tangle and appeared to sulk. MALAPERT showed speed and is worth remembering when in slower company. FINLAND, off slowly and outpaced in the early running, worked his way up on the outside and finished with a rush. STORM KING was knocked about after beginning slowly and tired in the last eighth.
