PIMLICO TURF NOTES r.ALTIMORE, Md., May 5. A wire from Kentucky to secretary William Ripgs stated that if Lee O. Cotner worked satisfactorily today that the colt would be shipped to Pimlieo to start in the Preakness. E. Myratt, after being confined in the Havre de Grace Hospital for a couple of weeks, was a visitor at Pimlico this afternoon. Mr. Myratt plans to go from here I I to Canada, where he will open a public stable. 1 , The colors of Thomas Francis, the well-known Buffalo sportsman, will again be seen in action. Francis plans to gather together rather a pretentious string. His first purchase came yesterday when he took the imported horse Rusovia out of the third race for ,000. Harold Goodwin claimed Ensign, winner of the fourth race, from Samuel Ross for ,500. The jumper Boss John, which raced for the Glen Riddle Farm Stable last year, dropped dead at the farm this spring. Swope, the Fisher candidate for the Preakness, was among the arrivals. Duke sent over Gifford Cochrans Coventry, George Odom, Volatirie and J. S. Wards Blue Ridge and Worthmore.
