HORSES AT FAIRMOUNT PARK First Consignment of Thoroughbreds for Spring Meeting Reach Collinsville Track. C i|.I.I.STU.K. 111.. April II.— The first consignment of horses that will race- here this si ring arrived at Fairmount Park from Tampa. I-la.. Saturday. The shipment included the f»tables of .1. M. Brown with four horses, Al Kirby with twelve-.. George Peterson with nine, and S. V. Richards with three. The St. I.ouis owned stable- of August A. Busch. Jr. with his stake nominees Chief Cnc-as and Lady Busch, vve-re trucked over to Pairmount Park from Grant Psrm Thursday. Nugent Pros, have been at l-airmount Park for several days with eight head. Including tlie- local favorite Stone-wall Jackson. Frank Se well with three he-ad of the Pueblo Stables horses has also been on the- ground for sometime. Win. Phillips, with Lew Pope and two others, wintered sear Pairmount Park and has recently moved his horses to the- truck stables. Advices given the- management indicate steady arrivals of horses from ow on. according to c. Bruce Head, general manager of tii- Pairmount Jockej Club Requests for i i iii.- room have even now exceeded the stabling capacity and owners have bc-e-n notified not to ship to Pairmount Park in advance cif receiving advice that stable room has be-e-n assigned I htm •
