This is a maiden race for two-year-olds and CFLIACAN and JANE ELIZABETH should fight it out for the major portion of the puise. ClLIACANS last out indicated that the son of Cataract would not be long leaving the maiden lanks. JANE ELIZABETH has run fairly well on several occasion* FORT WAYNE appears best 6f the theis. COOMBS — CONCRKSS HAI.L— BI.IK CANYON. The big field in the second race does not amount to much. COOMBS has been racing consistently and on form looks best here. CONGRESS HALL finished third in last tw . starts and should be a contender. BLlC CANYON is as good as any of the others and stands a chance of figuring in the first three. ROSA ATkIN — Kill. MOON-MISS KM MA 8. ROSA ATKIN won her last race and should repeat in this short dash. She will find FULL MOON a tough opponent to diwn and, apparently, the lace should be a duel between this pair. MISS EMMA O., another veteran mare, has a good chance to land in third place. BOO N K V 1 1. LK— B 1. 1 K I A LB— PLKNTYCOOS. Old BOONEViLLE will be hard to beat in the mile dash. He has worf once and finished five times in the money in his last six starts over both fast and muddy tracks. BLlE DALE is another that has been showing excellent form and will be the one to beat. PLENTYCOOS is dangerous. He has been threatening in his last three starts and should be a contender here. BAKI1A 1.1 II— ROYAL OA h— ZK A l.O I . Ejually good over a fast or muddy track. BAKDALID has been a consistent winner at Tijuana this winter. He will be a hard one to beat here. The distance suits him. ROYAL OAK should be Ike runner up and ZEALOT may surprise tticm all by beating both, at least he is a good show bet. KALIKO— I ON h.— PR1NCKSS ItAKKKI.I.. The three-year-old KALIKO was only beaten by a nose in his last .ippeararic.-und;-r colors and that finish was one to suggest that he should land in front in his next start. DON K. should not be overlooked He won four straight at Salt Iake last year and his first here, so watch him. PRINCESS DARRELL is an English-bred filly that has shown much improvement and should be dangerous here. NKBRASKA LAB— I OC McMAHON— RAI.LIM. This should be one of the best contests of the day. NEBRASKA LAD looks like a stand-out. the best bet of the day. The old fellow has not done so well during the winter, but at that has been in the money five lout of his six last starts. He can run all day and should romp home here. DO ! Mc- MAHON is no mean opponent and appears on eelge. RALLIM is another dangerous rival and should be close to the top at the finish. PICNIC— COKKIKLB— NOUKIKI.IL In fine form at present, according to »11 recent indications, is the word on PICNIC. Inder these considerations he should win easily. He is speedy and COFF1ELD and NORF1ELD can likewise travel fast. It ! appears that PICNIC can hold both and j leave them to fight it out for the minor portions of the purse. PKKH APS— LOLA MON I KZ— k VIINkA. The way the veteran PERHAPS finished out his last race there is no reason apparent why he should not land the big slice of the purse here. His most dangerous opponent appears to be LOLA MONTEZ. while KA-T1NKA is certain to figun prominently .
