TWO EASTERN ASPIRANTS Black Maria and Rapture Arrive Arriveat at Downs for Engagement in inthe the Kentucky Oaks LOUISVILLE Ky May 2C Two formid ¬ able eastern aspirants for the rich Kentucky Oaks to be run next Monday arrived from Belmont Park Wednesday morning when W Ti Coes Black Maria and II P Whitneys Bapture were safely unloaded at the South Louisville yards of the U N B B after an uneventful trip Black Maria came in charge of Kenneth Karrick while Bapture was in the keeping of Fred Hopkins The latter also brough 1 1 P Whitneys Miniator a twoyearold gelding that will carry the Whitney colors in the Bashford Manor Stakes to be run next Saturday SaturdayLocal Local interest in the big race was revived with the arrival of the pair of eastern chal ¬ lengers The Kentuckians will have strong representation in the race and they are confident of repeating their victory of the Kentucky Derby when the easterners were sent home emptyhanded
