LATONlA TURF NOTES $ . LATONIA, Ky., June 14. Todays final race at Latonia brought the first claim in .some time, J. McGee taking Alloy from C. E. Hamilton for ,100. W. P. Frazer, secretary and manager of the Woodbine track, accompanied by John Lyle, architect of the Ontario Jockey Club, were . the guests -of judge Charles F. Price at Latonia today. Messrs. Frazer and Lyle are completing a tour, of inspection of the Lincoln Fields, Churchill Downs and Latonia tracks with a view of making improvements at the Woodbine course. Jockey Leo Cargyle was granted a license to ride; He is associated with the H. P. Headley stable. The Idle Hour Farm Stable Monday was reduced by two horses, Mose Goldblatt purchasing Bottom Dollar, after she accounted for the opening race, and Mose Lowenstein buying Blue Pencil. Both transactions were private. T. Hays in some manner lost a book containing the engagements of jockey G. Garner and will appreciate its return. Jockey R. Yelton had his first mount of the meeting on Nairbec in the featured race today. The H. P. Whitney three-year-olds for the Latonia Derby will be the eastern sportsmans starters in the American Derby to be run Saturday at Washington Park. Starter Hamiltons schooling list is made up of the following: Nedda, Royal S., Frenchburg, Gareth, Carrickfergus, Mira-fel, Birley M. a, Bashful Beau, Edith Gray, Queen Royal, Polly Poker, Jimma, Mac OBoy and Fusileer.
