Won driving; second and third the same. TOTARA raced COSMETIC into early defeat and, taking the lead, saved ground on the stretch turn and outf inished PARTAKE. PARTAKE began from the outside and was outpaced for the first eighth, then raced to the leaders on the last turn, but tired after getting on even terms with the winner at the eighth post. P.EDFORD DREAM began in a tangle, but made up ground rapidly and finished fastest or all. KING LEHR could never reach the leaders. COSMETIC quit badly. FAIR LAD and WESTWARD BOUND raced green. Start good and fast. Won driving; second and third the same. ROCK THORN, hard ridden from the start, raced into a brief lead and was headed by TnORN BLOSSOM, then took the lead again, but had to be hard ridden to withstand the challenge of LADY GLASSEN. The latter raced forwardly from the start, came on the outside in the final drive and was rapidly wearing the winner down. THORN BLOSSOM was hard ridden, but tired in the stretch. ALLEY OOP raced well and had no mishaps. QUADRILLE raced wide on the turns. BYWAY was away slowly and closed a gap. SANDHILLS was badly outrun for the first half mile, then worked his way up on the outside and finished fast. DIGNUS had to be hard ridden to take the lead and tired when put to a drive. UGO II. ran a good race. GREAT ROCK finished fast after being badly outrun early. SUNSARD quit after going five-eighths.
