f LATONIA TURF NOTES g . -$ LATONIA, Ky., June 17. It was announced here today that nominations for the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes, for two-year-olds of 1928, and Latonia Championship Stakes, for three-year-olds of 1929, will not close until July 21. In previous years nominating time for the two fixtures terminated on July 1. Horsemens attention is called to the falling due on July" 1 of the second payment of 550 for each nomination to the Kentucky Jockey Glub Stakes of 1927. the principal feature of the autumn program at Churchill Downs. Jockey J. Ryan has settled his little difficulties with the E. J. Holland stable and resumed riding for the establishment this afternoon. Jockey Alfred Johnson got away for Washington Park last night to accept the mount on Buddy Bauer in the American Derby Saturday. E. B. McLean, who annually provides a beautiful and valuable trophy for the owner of the successful horse in the Enquirer Handicap tomorrow, will present a sterling silver table tray, handsomely engraved, to the owner of the winning horse in the seventeenth running of the stake. Jockey L. Craver will resume riding tomorrow after serving a suspension of ten days.
