LAMP WARD got up in the last stride to nose AUNT LAURA out. The latter raced forwardly, b-it tired at the end. BLUE GRANITE finished well on the outside. BONNY CASTLE tired in the last eighth. GRETA was outpaced for the first half mile and made a wide turn into the stretch, but quickly passed the leaders in the stretch and won in a canter. ALMA raced close up and, forcing a good pace to the stretch, raced well to the finish. LADY WELCOME came from far back in the last quarter and outgamed BETTY BROWNING. The latter raced well to near the end and tired. GOLD BOOTS showed the way for a half mile, then tired. JACK W. JR. was done when reaching the stretch. Scratched 14593 Matt Karr, 106; My Sister, 103. PLAIN DEALER began slowly, but steadily improved his position on the back stretch and, racinff to the leader in the stretch, took the lead and outfinished TAZEWELL. The latter raced close up all the way and made a game rush in the final three-sixteenths. NANI-HAWAII raced into a good lead in the first three-quarters, but tired in the stretch. SPECIAL showed .the most early speed and raced well to the end. WRACKHORN closed up much ground. ALARD quit. RUNDARK raced close up on the inside to the stretch turn, then ran out, forcing CLIFF out also; came fast in the stretch and took the lead, outfinishing WOOD CRICKET. The latter came fast after entering the stretch and nosed out GRAPESTONE. GRAPESTONE was forced to race on the outside all the way and finished with a rush when clear. CLIFF set a good pace for the first half mile, had to race wide into the stretch and tired. QUANAH had no mishaps. FOXMORE quit after showing early speed. The latter raced close up, but lacked racing room until nearing the last eighth, then finished fast, outgaming BEGGAR BOY. It KG GAR BOY showed the most speed for the first four and a half furlongs and raced gamely, but was out finished in the final drive. THE MAJOR improved his position on the outside and finished fast. CANDY ROCK tired near the end and barely lasted to outfinish BEGONIA. The latter raced fairly well. MISS MAGGIE showed early speed and quit.
