BIG REVENUE FROM RACING The new Lager racing law, which becomes effective Friday, July 1, should yield the state of Illinois a revenue exceeding ,000,000 a year. Already the state has received 00,000 license fees, 2,500 from Lincoln Fields and ,500 from Fairmount Park. The Lincoln Fields license is for thirty-seven days racing, the Fairmount Park for three days, the final days of that meeting, which ends July 4. This is at the rate of ,500 a day. In addition, these tracks, as well as all licensed tracks, will pay to the state 20 cents for each admission. Under the provisions of the new racing law, all racing associations proposing to hold race meetings in Illinois must make formal applications ten days prior to such .meetings, the license fee for the efttire meetings being paid In advance.
