Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. MILES PRIOR took the lead quickly, saved ground where possible and, setting a fast pace, won all the way. GOLD MINT, away fast, raced close up, but was outfinished by the winner. PALM COURT raced in closest pursuit for the first half mile, but was in tight quarters after reaching the stretch and tired in the final drive. DAR-FUR finished well. AVEST HILL tired after closing a gap. GOLD STAMP bolted to the inside after the start and jumped the inside fence. AENDEIISE, away slowly, saved much ground on the turns and finished well. AIRGINIA BEAUTY, away fast, set the early pace, but swerved out on the stretch turn and began tiring near the end. CLARET COP raced forwardly, but wide to the stretch and tired In the last eighth. MOODY MARY had no mishaps. FAKE THEE WELL ran green. SEA LION, also far back early, closed a gap and, finishing with a rush, barely failed to get up. FLORENDA, weakly ridden and having scant chance to run freely due to crowding in the first three-quarters, made a game finish. BABE K. ran well. GABALDON tired badly after taking the lead. DA VINCI, also hard ridden throughout, came slightly wide on the . stretch turn and appeared badly beaten when an eighth out, but came again to outstay KATHARINH W.
