EIDEUBARD, after showing the most early speed, was passed momentarily after rounding the far turn, then came again and, regaining the lead, held OMARS DOUBLE safe in the final drive. The latter was hard ridden to lake the lead and saved ground on the turns, but was unable to withstand the winner when challenged. LUCIE DUNBAR raced close up from the start. AIRFLIGHT lacked early bpeed, but finished well. SAMSON showed speed. HEARTACHE, away fast, was taken under slight restraint in the early running, then came fast after entering the home stretch, but was crowded badly in the last eighth, and was In very close quarters at the end. GAY PARISIAN was forced wide on the first turn and passed BLOOMTIP. but could not withstand the winners rush. BLOOMTIP set a good pace and finished well. HARRY BAKER was allowed to drop back and was never dangerous and had swerved to the outside at the start and caused several of the starters to be taken up. WANDERING MINSTREL and NOZIERES ran poorly.
