HORSES FOR RENO MEETING C. M. Barnes Shipping Twelve for Winnipeg Omaha to Send 125 Head, RENO, Nev., June 27. From far away Winnipeg, Can., will come a band of.good runners for the thirty-day Reno meeting, which will be opened July 1. Thi3 will be a band of twelve thoroughbreds owned by C. M. Barnes. The Barnes horses include several in the handicap division and the stellar performer in the lot is the three-year-old filly Sanabar, by Roubaix Samovar. Sanabar was brought to Tijuana last winter by the Seagram Stable and was one of this stables candidates in the Tijuana Futurity and the Juvenile Stakes. It was at Tijuana that the filly was claimed from the Seagram Stable "by Barnes: Sanabar has been the winner of three handicaps in a row at the Calgary and Winnipeg meetings. Others in the Barnes band of twelve to come to Reno are Escapader, Son o Unc, Metal and A. Lester. These and the rest making up the stable are useful thoroughbreds and should give Barnes a formidable hand in the Reno racing. The Omaha shipment of horses, totaling 125 head, in charge of Joe Gibson, will entrain for Reno June 25 and thus will arrive in ample time for opening day. One of the stars in the Omaha shipment will be the good horse Pat, which will be named for the Opening Handicap, of five and a half furlongs. As the Barnes shipment will be here for the first day, Sanabar is counted on as a certain starter in this handicap.
