GEVLNG PLEASES BED WELL COLLINSVILLE, 111.. June 27. Banton, E. R. Morehouses colt, which won the Statler Hotel Handicap here Saturday by a nose from Princess Doreen, will remain here to run in the Jefferson Hotel Handicap, another ,000 race, which will be decided next Saturday. Cudgeller, which was coupled with Banton in the Statler Handicap, also is remaining for Saturdays race, and H. G. Bed-well Is expected here to saddle them. Bed-well shipped them here from Washington Park, also sending Last Cent, a winner last Saturday. L. Geving will have the mount again on Banton. He was not given the chance on Banton until almost the last minute and Bedwell was much pleased with his ability. He will be seen on numerous Bed-well horses during the final week of the meeting.
