Won easily; second and third driving. CHAR LADY raced close np from the start, forced the pace to the stretch and, taking the lead, easily held sway to the end. NO QUARTER improved her position steadily while racing on the outside and ran a good race. MY SISTER was outrun to the stretch, then closed a gap quickly, finishing close up. ANN CURTIS set the pace for a half mile and tired. BETTY BROWNING gave way suddenly, near, the end. KENETTA was as good as left, BRUMINA and SHASTA FLAPPER were wheeling sidewise on the outside at the start and were badly left. GRAPESTONE eared much ground when rounding the far turn and again when entering the stretch and, passing MISS MAGGIE, came away easily in the last seventy yards. MISS MAGGIE forced tbo pace to the stretch and took the lead, but was unable to withstand GRAPESTONES rush. ALEX WOODLIFFE ran a good race all the way. SALUTATION close up much ground and finished gamely. DON QUIXOTE also closed a gap. COY tired. POLAND set the pace for a half mile, then quit. STANMORE also-showed speed and quit in the stretch. Won driving; second and third the same. SWIZZLE, well ridden, raced close up from the start and, saving ground on the turns, passed SELDOM SEEN and SIEG MARGON in the last eighth and outfiniohed them in the last strides. SELDOM SEEN was close up all the way and headed SIEG MARGON. but lh turn was headed by SWIZZLE. CANDY ROCK was allowed to drop back -into last place after the start, tnea closed an immense gap and, finishing close up, would have won with a stronger rider. SIEG MARGON set a good pace to the stretch, but suddenly tired when inside the last eighth. CROATAN was done in the stretch, as was BEAVERWOOD. AVon driving; second and third the same, SWEEPANOLA was rushed into the lead and, after passing LOW GEAR and CHEROKEE MAID in the first half mile, held the lead to the end. outstaying GOVERNOR SETH narrowly. GOVERNOR SETH began fast, but stumbled and all but fell, dropping back to last place, then closed an immense gap, and but for his mishap would have won. LOW GEAR was prominent from the start and showed speed, but ran below her true form. CHEROKEE MAID showed the most early speed and raced well all the way. nOMKWOOD was outpaced. MARENGO raced close up to the Ktreldi, then finished fast on the outside, heading CHICK UP in the final stride. CHICK UP showed a good order of speed most of the way and raced gamely to the end.
