, j e , . . of n ■ , v I LEXINGTON TURF NOTES : » LEXINGTON, Ky., April 7. After brief touches of illness, several horses in the barn of W. E. Caskey, Jr.. are now much improved and about ready to resume training. Jockey Danny Connelly, who has been here all winter, still is in the employ of the Combs and Gallaher Stable. He reports him-s self lighter than in several previous years at this time and is rapidly getting fit. Col. W. E. Applegate, prominent Kentucky owner who is extensively interested in the stable trained by Clyde Van Dusen, is a daily visitor at the Kentucky Association track. Colonel Applegate found good health in Cuba last winter and. while he missed some of the morning trials here last spring. he has already set up an enviable mark for attendance this season. J. D. Pryor. owner of Anaconda and other horses, is making a visit to this city.
