LADY MARIE raced into a long lead quickly and made a wide turn into the stretch, but won in a canter. LITTLE ASBESTOS worked his way up on the outside and finished fast and gamely. LASSA, hard ridden from the start, saved ground on the turns, but was unable to improve his position. FAIRY-MAN raced wide on the turns. KNOCKANY raced fairly well. GRACIOUS GIFT was in close quarters for the first three-eighths and began dropping back after rounding the far turn. INDIAN LOVE CALL suffered from interference soon after the start, but secured racing room on the inside while rounding the last turn, then came with a great burst of speed and. heading POLISH Inside the final sixteenth, won drawing clear. The latter passed FLITTER MOUSE into the lead, but tired in the final drive. SON OF JOHN fell back on the last turn, but came again when clear and finished fast and gamely. ROSINANTE raced forwardly, but lost ground in the stretch. SENATOR NORRIS began slowly and finished fast. CONTEMPLATE was forced to race wide on the turns. PETER PETER, also close up from the start, raced AFTERGLOW into defeat, took the lead, but tired right at the end. NEALON KAY, timidly ridden, was taken wide after entering the back stretch and finished fast on his own courage. AFTERGLOW was rushed into the lead and set a good pace under restraint, but tired in the last quarter. REJUVENATION made his rush at the half-mile post, but was held safe. FORE LARK began sideways. PRICEMAN came fast on the outside and was rapidly overtaking the leaders. POOR BOY appeared high in flesh. DANCING FOOL was going well at the end. COMMISSIONER CAHILL was caught in a jam at the start and tired after closing a gap. FIREDOG was never prominent. WRACK MAID and LANOIL were away slowly.
