BARLEYCORN raced .lose up and took the lead, then was passed, but came again in the last half Into nn easy lead when NdMAI bolted out of the course near the last jump and held DRAGON 1E TBIO safe. The latter, jumping well and always close up, finished resolutely. PHIDIAS jumped well, but was taken wide all the way and tired after going the first two turns of the field, but outfinished the tiring JINULH. The latter made several efforts to take the lead, but made a bad landing at the twelfth jump and tired. NOMAD was well in the lead when he bolted through the brush on the last turn and ran out of the course. FRANCES ROCK, outrun early and forced to race on the outside, worked her way into third place rapidly, then passed SUCKY into the lead and, under hard riding, barely managed to outfinish JENNY DEAN. The latter suffered from interference on the first turn and was missed about badly, but secured a clear course on the outside and finished fast. JIM BRIDGRR b«-gan slowly and finished fast. The latter began slowly, but worked her way up on the inside and, finishing fast, barely failed to get up. JRENIER was hard ridden all the way and finished gamely. CANDY BOG was on the citside all il:e way. HIGH CAME was. in a jam shortly after the start, then secured racing room on the inside and rihed into the lead, but tired. FLIPPANT was moving up fast on the inside when he was cut off on the far turn, then came to the outside and finished fast. BUDDY BAUER raced well. MONTFERRAT quit. KNOW-ME-«;NOME moved up fast on the inside on the far turn and finished resolutely. DIXIE SMITH was prominent throughout, slipped through on the inside when entering the stretch, but tired in the final drive. RED SPRUCE ran a good race. SPANISH PRINCESS was always close up. but tired. ZUKER tired under his weight. NETTIE SWEEP was sidewise when, the start came and was practically left, but closed a big gap. FINISTERRE tired badly.
