I CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES I • _ , LOUISVILLE. Ky., May 12. The call If. Ooldblatt obtained on apprentice A. Robertson has been turned over to James Rowe and that rider will be under engagement to the latter for an indefinite period. Arthur P. Hancock was among the first Saturday visitors. L. Gentry has acquired from the Idle Hour Stock Farm Stable the seven-year-old Benedict Vow. The horse is scheduled to race for his new owner Monday. The second book of conditions to govern the Churchill Downs racing from May 17 to 25, inclusive, was distributed among the horsemen this morning. Willie Garner took down 70 for outside mounts during the first three days of the meeeting. D. Y.imelly and E. Pool were tied for second with 50 each. Charles Nolle, track superintendent at La-tonia. was among the numerous visitors from that section. Jockey J. Roberts was licensed by the stewards this morning. Apprentice C. Meyer, in a fall from Algol after passing the finish in the opening race, suffered a badly bruised, if not fractured wrist and injuries about the leg. John CL Shank, president of the Business-mens Racing Association which operates Hawthorne, is an arrival from Chicago to | remain until after the running of the Ken- I tacky J erby. J. F. Schorr arrived from Maryland in time ! to saddle the E. B. McLean starters in the ; afternoons races. He was accompanied by jockey EL Ambrose, who rode Jock in the Clark Handicap. ♦
