TAKE A CHANCE raced into the lead at once and easily won all the way. BOCARATONE was in early troubc next to the inner rail, but came on the outside in the atretrn and. closing fast, outfinished I.ANK .111. The latter was in close piarters for the first half mile and. weaving his way up in the stretch, finished with a rush, outuaming I.KYOY. LEYOY made a rush that carried him into second place, but began tiring in the final drive. J. O. DENNY ran well. FLORA l.E BRETON tired after running a good half mile. MONARCHIST showed early spied. DOLLY SETH forced the pace for the first quarter, then passed WILDRAKE into he Fad and was hard pn s-.-d when the latter came again i.i the stretch, but held him safe to the end. WILDRAKE made the early pace fast and. after being headed, came again in the stretch and could not quite overtake DOLLY SETH. but finished resolutely. SANDY HATCH, on the outside, lost ground, but raced well in the final drive and outfinished GOLD MINT. OOI.B MINT saved ground where possible and ran a good race, but could not stay with the leaders. SANCTION raced fairly well, but had to race wide when entering the stretch. JURAL EARLY worked his way up gradually, closed a gap and finished well. THE ORI.EAMAN raced prominently throughout, but was tiring at the end. JUNIORS NlRSE was allowed to drop too far back in the first half mile and finished with a belated rush. PEEYA was done after going the first three quarters. BLTE MEANS quit.
