I CANADIAN TURF GOSSIP ♦ # TORONTO, Ont., May 23. Shelby Burch came up from Belmont Park to saddle Rapid Transit for the Victoria Stakes. This was his first visit to Woodbine Park, and he was so impressed with the manner in which the sport was conducted here that he expressed a desire to race his horses at the Ontario Jockey Clubs fall meeting. Thomas McCreary has arranged to ship the horses he is racing at Woodbine Park back to Belmont Park at the conclusion of the meeting. The Kilrain Stables two-year-old Rapid Transit will leave In the same car with the McCreary consignment. W. Kraussman, who raced the good Canadian-bred Hampton Dame here several years ago, was a vistor. Mr. Kraussman has not irissed a Woocine meeting in years. He came down from Montreal to witness the running of the Toronto Cup, the big feature race of the Ontario Jockey Clubs spring meeting. A. R. Lawson, whose horses are trained by E. J. Salt, is here. He arrived from New York yesterday and will remain for the balance of the meeting. Mr. Lawson has about dozen brood n.ares on his places which have been bred to Sweep By. *
