T AURORA TURF NOTES ] -$ ยป AURORA, 111., May 23. A record" number of entries for the meeting were received by racing secretary C. F. Henry for Thursdays races when 140 entrants were received for the usual seven events. J. Eckert, represented by Kinsley in the sixth race, claimed Open Hand from W. Cay-wood at a cost of ,400. J. L. Taul, who started Stutts in the same race, claimed Bolton from W. Tobias for ,400. Another claim occurred in the seventh race, L. F. OLeary securing Tom Byrne from E. E. Major for ,400.
