MARYLAND SPECIAL COMING Erjht Cars of Horses Scheduled to Leave Baltimore Today for Arlington Park. Eight cars of thoroughbreds, scheduled as the Maryland Special, will leave Baltimore this morning for the Arlington Park course. This is the first large consignment of racers for. the twenty-four days spring meeting, opening at Arlington Park June 4, closing June 30. The train will bring the Nevada Stock Farms eighteen performers, topped by the sparkling Chicleight. Others are Illeana Wood, Rapid Transit, Voltear, Voyage, Peter Ruff, Virado, Violado, Mekachee, Kulaman, Crucero. Tulasco, Woodburn, Caravan, Gold Rush. Rose Smith, Flapper Fanny, Balzar, all two-year-olds ; Honeyco, Jim Bridser, Rhubarb and Sweepesta, all three-year-.* Is. Preston M. Burch, trainer of the racers owned by George Wingfield, in transmitting to the American National Jockey Club, said he had the best band of juveniles the Nevada Stock Farm had sent to the races in recent years. H. G. Bedwells consignment of three cars contains eighteen horses, also three owned by C. Carter Hall. John Bishop is sending three, and G. G. Shone six horses. Bedwell has eligibles in all stakes at Arlington Park except the American Derby, to be run Saturday, June 9. In the inaugural feature, the American Premier National Handicap. ,000 added, at the one mile distance, Mr. Bedwell has his seasoned campaigner Cudgeller and the five-year-old Vellas. In the American National Juvenile Stakes, 0,000 added, to be run Saturday, June 16, he has Fair Albert, Fair Bob, Fair Jimmie and Fair Thorn. Mr. Bedwells eligibles in the American Rush Handicap, a ,500 event, to be decided Saturday, June 23, are Bulletin, Fair Anita and Cudgeller. In the American National Turf and Field Handicap, with an added value of 5,000, at the one mile and an eighth distance, to be run on the final day. he has Chairman, Cudgeller, La Morte and Vellas.
