MORRISSEY IS AN ABSENTEE AURORA. 111., May 23. — Eddie Thomas, one of Harry Morrisseys assistants, was in the starters stand at Exposition Park today and dispatched the fields during the afternoon. Starter Harry Morrissey suffered a slight attack of the grippe and was feeling ill on Tuesday evening. Mr. Morrissey refrained from coming out today, but will be on the job again Thursday. . —
